Description: “Research and education on the microplastics issue in both freshwater and ocean waters.” The intention of this PSA was to aid in the passing of a state and national plastic microbead ban. A ban at the California state level passed in 2015 and then federal level passed in 2016, known as the National Microbead Free Waters Act. A project of 5 Gyres Institute.
